Real-time Voting System — Maker Faire Galicia
I designed and developed a real-time voting system for mass events, used during the three days of Maker Faire Galicia 2025. The platform allowed any attendee to vote from their own phone, browse available projects, and validate their identity via SMS, while the organizing team could view results in real-time from an admin panel.
The Challenge
Until then, voting was done through fixed tablets at the venue, causing friction, queues, and limited participation. Also, the system didn't scale well for large volumes of people and didn't offer a modern experience.
The Solution
I designed a responsive web app accessible from any phone, where attendees could view available projects, vote in seconds, validate their identity via SMS, and participate without prior registration. For the organization, I implemented a control panel with statistics and real-time results.
