ONCE Innova — Inclusive Innovation Hackathon Mentoring and Direction
I participated as mentor and process director in ONCE Innova, ONCE's innovation laboratory, a collaborative and multidisciplinary space focused on inclusive innovation and cultural transformation of the organization. The program brought together ONCE community workers (internal and external) to ideate solutions for real everyday problems.
The Challenge
ONCE sought to drive a real innovation culture, not just theoretical, generating practical solutions to everyday problems for people within their ecosystem. The challenge was to turn very early ideas into solid, viable proposals oriented towards real implementation, always keeping the focus on inclusion.
The Solution
Together with other team members, I directed and mentored the complete hackathon during a 4-month process. We accompanied teams from the earliest ideation phase through a complete Design Thinking process: real problem definition, user research, ideation, prioritization, MVP definition, functional prototyping (digital or physical), and final pitch preparation.
Results
12 projects completed with functional prototype (vs 2-3 in previous editions)
In-person final in Madrid with presentation of all projects
The edition I participated in was the most successful to date
High satisfaction from the ONCE team
